Use iCal the Way You Want with Calendar Software for Mac
Itsycal does one better. It shows the date in your menubar—including time and day of the week, if you want—along with a calendar of the full month and surrounding dates if you click on it. Underneath, it shows upcoming appointments from your built-in Calendar app, with a + button to add new appointments in a separate window. That’s handy—but the main reason to install Itsycal is for a quick way to see next Tuesday’s date at a glance.
    * Sync Subscription may be required for syncing “Informant only” data.
Agenda’s pricing model is what I’d consider the best current model for smaller studios. You get the app for free with limited functionality and have the option to pay $9.99 for a year of Premium features that you get to keep even after the year ends if you just want it on iOS. If you want the features on both iOS and macOS, it is $24.99 for a year of support and new features. While many apps are moving to subscription models, this one is the most consumer-friendly one, because you don’t get locked out after the subscription period ends. You can then wait and see if there are more new premium features added before subscribing again. I wish more apps did this and I hope it works out well for Agenda.
Alfred Price: Free for search tools; from £19 (around $25) Single User Powerpack license for full features
    – Improved printing support on Notes View

Aside: savvy macOS users could point to the fact that desktop utilities such as Alfred, LaunchBar, and Spotlight make ease-of-entry a non-sequitur. And I agree: I often use LaunchBar to add events to my calendar rather than Fantastical … but this is a review of the full-fledged functionality of the desktop calendar app landscape. If launcher type utilities are your thing, check out our review. One more thing: It comes with a mini-calendar that sits in your Menu bar for quick access. Linking to Calendar Events Agenda - Notes, your time has come My Study Life is a free calendar app designed to meet the unique needs of students and educators. In the educational world, schedules are drastically different from those in the private sector. Students typically follow a semester or term system rather than a quarterly one. They meet for classes on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule, or maybe on Tuesday and Thursdays only, or perhaps their courses alternate on an A/B day setup. If a national holiday falls on a Monday, students sometimes find themselves going to Monday's courses on Tuesday. In short, educational calendars are full of exceptions and unusual circumstances, and My Study Life was created to accommodate them. It's my favorite calendar app for OS X. Assistant What did you do last Tuesday afternoon? You could look back at your calendar for old events or your to-do list for completed tasks, or perhaps check your notes app or documents folder for items added or updated on Tuesday (as long as you haven’t updated them since then). Or, with Agenda, you’ll have notes as a stream-of-consciousness that show exactly what you worked on and were thinking about anytime.
